Wieblers' H-D, Inc., an Illinois corporation, doing business in Iowa as Wieblers' Quad-Cities Harley-Davidson, Inc., started in January 1, 1990.
Corporate officers were Wayne J. Wiebler, an Absentee President, Robert W. Wiebler, Secretary, and Stephen W. Wiebler, Treasurer.
Wayne started in the motorcycle business in Peoria, Illinois, for Bruce and Gladys Walters, in 1951.
Robert started in Peoria at Walters Brothers in the Parts Department in 1965.
Stephen, Robert's cousin and Wayne's son, started in the Service Department at Walters Brothers in 1980.
As the Harley-Davidson business grew, so did our family. So we had the opportunity to expand and to buy an existing business in Bettendorf, Iowa. The business was owned by Glenn and Carol Byorum. It's never great to leave a home of family and friends, but the Quad-City area is a very nice and fun place to live. We enjoy the motorcycle experience, riding along the Mighty Mississippi River.
On June 17, 1999, Steve and Robert purchased property at 5320 Corporate Park Drive, Davenport, Iowa. We started construction July 15, and by November 25, we were ready to move the shop to its new home. Willy G. and Nancy Davidson, Scott Parker, and Rich King joined us for our Grand Opening festivities on January 22, 2000. We are looking forward to serving everyone at our new location, and into the new millennium. On July 6, 2001, Robert Wiebler became the sole proprietor of Wieblers' Harley-Davidson.
